Maui
I spent last week in Maui on the West side of the Island- Kahana/ Kapula. I'm on the road often playing in my own tournaments, but this week I was on the other side of the ball coaching the girls of my former alma mater, UC Davis. I spent this past fall and some time this spring traveling to events as an assistant coach. It is awesome to still be a part of the team, get to share my experience and knowledge and learn new things about the game through coaching. This was an incredibly memorable trip to Hawaii, probably my favorite yet! We golfed, watched the sunset, didn't get sucked into a blowhole, ate a lot of shave ice, took a boat ride and snorkeled/ swam with some turtles. Check it out!
When coaching I often stay on par 3's and help the girls with yardage and club selection. On the left is me with sophomore Sam Hutchison on the beautiful par 3 5th at the Kapula Bay course. It's a short par three that goes along the water and it is one of the most beautiful spots on the course. The green is firm and it can get windy, so the hole can be really tricky. Oh and there are often sea turtles that hang around just below the cliffs!

Thanks for your crystal blue waters, fresh salty air and beautiful golf courses. Can't wait for my next trip back, hopefully soon! Up next --> Morocco!
